Wilson improved in every facet of his game in his 2nd year as a starter. Even with his HR/9 normalizing, he still achieved a lower ERA by inducing close to 50% ground balls in Arlington. Now with the move from Arlington to Anaheim, he should be in line to have an even better year (as I will detail in a post). Even though he improved his swinging strike rate from 6.7% in 2010 to 8.3% in 2011, it’ll probably be tough for him to achieve a K/9 over 8.5 unless he gets more swinging strikes.
